Frequently Asked Questions

Storing your vehicle

The storage conditions are similar in all our storage parks, so we recommend choosing the one that suits you best in terms of location, provided there are available spots. If your hobby vehicle is larger in size (watercraft, RVs, etc.), please ensure it can fit through the preferred storage park’s door opening: Järlepa storage facility has a door height of 3.3 meters, Ringutal is 2.75 meters, and Ummarus is 4 meters.

Usually, hobby vehicles are stored during times when they can’t be used and when they need the most protection – from fall to spring. The minimum storage period is 5 months, and during that time, the vehicles are parked closely side by side. This allows us to accommodate more vehicles and thus offer everyone a more affordable storage fee. However, it’s important to note that retrieving your vehicle in the middle of the storage period is not possible.

Generally, vehicles are brought to the storage park in October and November, and it’s become a tradition for all the stored vehicles to have joint drive-out in April or early May. You can find a video from one of our joint drive-out HERE.

For year-round storage, the drop-off and drive-out times are arranged according to mutual agreement.

To do this, please fill out the booking form HERE. After this, we’ll reach out to you and send you a prepayment invoice for one month’s rent. Once it’s paid, your reservation is confirmed. This payment will be deducted from the total rent amount later.

Based on your preference and our availability, we’ll arrange the exact time for bringing your vehicle to Hoiupark.

First, drive to the agreed-upon storage park at the specified time.

Then, if needed, we’ll adjust the tire pressure and place the vehicle in its spot.

To ensure proper ventilation inside the vehicle, we’ll leave the vehicle’s windows slightly open. As a precaution, we’ll disconnect the battery terminals.

In the case of storing watercraft on trailers, it’s advisable to loosen the straps a bit.

In the case of storing trailers and caravans, it’s a good idea to open the roof vent.

It’s become a tradition to do a joint drive-out in April and early May. For this, just come to the agreed-upon storage park at the designated time. We’ve got everything set up there for getting the vehicles out.

If your vehicle’s storage period, for instance, ends in early April, but it turns out there’s still snow on the ground, and if space allows, you can extend the storage period month by month as needed.

We make sure that everyone who plans to retrieve their vehicles in the spring gets them on time. For instance, we park year-round stored cars, boats and motorcycles in a way that doesn’t block others, and if necessary, we ask for keys so we can move them out of the way.

Usually not. The vehicles are packed tightly, and they can’t be moved. It’s become a tradition to pick up the vehicles starting from the first weekend in April.

In case of any potential issues, security teams from these companies can quickly respond to the respective storage facility.

In all of our storage parks, access is only allowed when accompanied by a representative of the storage park.
